Ghost Adventures Zak Bagans vs. the Snakes
by ghostmap

This has got to be the funnest episode of Ghost adventures ever. Every time I think about it I can’t help but laugh.  The Ghost Adventure crew went to check out reports of haunting at the Old Idaho Penitentiary but were midway up Table Rock when it occurred to host Zak Bagans that there might be snakes snakes in the hills. He proceeded to spend the next several minutes ignoring the fact that a trail leads to the top, and instead, jumped around screaming and being worried about snakes while shouting “Dude” at regular intervals. Bagans then decided to face his fear and actually pick up a good-sized snake, then wondered if it was a rattlesnake (here’s a clue, rattlesnakes usually rattle). He was then perplexed when the snake turned in toward him proclaiming that the experience is just like Indiana Jones.

I don’t know if these guys do some of this stuff just for the comic relief effect or if they are always like this. If they are always like this I’d pay money to be able to watch them all day.

Spalding Inn owned by the Ghost Hunter Guys
by ghostmap

tvn0v42qv1c03rtpsih5.jpg
This is just way to funny  Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson are pimping their co-owned Spalding Inn as a “haunted inn”. They claim they have had personal experiences here and even brought their wives in on it. Now thats all well and good but it just strikes me as super odd that the only people who say it is haunted are on a ghost hunters show and on top of that they feature their new business on an episode of Ghost Hunters.

The experiences recounted ALL could be easily explained and debunked and anybody with half a brain should be able to see all this is just an attempted to make money off the ghost hunter names. If Pilgrim and Sci-Fi give these guys so much pull that they can blatantly conduct a fake episode and promote to death via the  web this “haunting” they own then I ask all you ghost hunter viewers to turn off scifi in protest.

It makes me sick that these guys are playing like the Spading Inn in Whitefield, NH. is the next Stanley Hotel or  Hotel Del Coronado and this is just crazy.  There are no facts to support this and actual experts I’ve asked actually claim the area is actually on the low end of paranormal activity so low in fact your just as likely to see a ghost in your own home.

Halloween is coming
by ghostmap

I know it may seem odd but for me Halloween is a bigger holiday than Christmas. Halloween is awesome and not just for the paranormal reasons I love it because it’s the one day a year people get a glimpse as to what my everyday life is like. Halloween is a day that people’s minds are open to possibility’s other than the day to day norm they were raised to believe and open their minds “third eye”

I’m still trying to decide what to be for Halloween I’m thinking either Captain Kirk from Star Trek or Jeeves The Headless Butler. I spent some time browsing the extreme Halloween blog for some ideas and those were my two favorites. I can’t wait til Halloween. Keep it spooky folks

Haunted Location of the week The Birdcage Theatre
by ghostmap

After much thought I’ve decided to revive a former tradition of mine and try to bring you a new haunted location each and every week. The honor of being the first new haunted location I list goes to The Birdcage Theatre in Tombstone Arizona.

The Birdcage Theatre is a really interesting location in the “Town to tough to die” with documented 26 murdersand there are 145 documented bullet holes. This was the happening place back in the 1800′s with all night faro games, bluff poker and exotic ladies who loved to show the men a good time.

If you have the gift of “sight” this probably isn’t the place for you as even though it may just be a not so crowded museum for the living on any given night this place is packed with nearly 100 or so ghosts looking to recreate past events and have a bit of fun. I remember when I visited The Birdcage I nearly ran out screaming not realizing that the guys shooting guns were actually the ghosts of Curly Bill and Doc Holliday and they were just having a handkerchief fight. Now I probably looked like a complete nut job but this was way before I learned I had the gift of sight and how to control it.

When you first enter the room of the Bircage with the stage most people are actually greeted by the ghost of Morgan Earp. He’s a real friendly guy however he seems to be a bit over protective of a particular pool table found inside the room.  On some nights you’ll actually see the entire Earp clan and on those nights you can feel the detest 99% of the towns folk feel for them.

If your wondering why this place is so hunted, in my opinion it is because it contains so many objects that these people were fond of in the past plus it has one of the main hearse coaches used to take a lot of these people to their graves on Boothill.

Ghost hunter dies in tragic accident
by ghostmap

A 29-year-old Canadian woman died in an accident the police are calling “misadventure.” The unidentified woman and her male friend were exploring a building near Bloor and Spadina streets in downtown Toronto, in search of ghosts.

The unidentified building had been rumoured to be haunted, and the pair had been exploring the building in the early morning hours of September 10th. The police report stated that the couple had attempted to jleap across a portion of the building either three or four stories above the ground. The woman unfortunately fell to her death.

Her male partner made it across safely. Police believe the pair are not students at the University of Toronto.

An unconfirmed press release from two Toronto-based paranormal researchers, published on their blog, cites the building location as One Spadina Crescent. Sue Darroch and Matthew Didier issued the release in response to what they say was an overwhelming number of media queries following the news of the ghost hunter’s accidental death. The release states that Darroch and Didier are not aware of any paranormal activity at One Spadina, but state

” … the only thing that could be possibly “paranormal”(?) in nature is a rumoured curse with the building… that university departments and other elements housed there have seemingly “bad luck” in the building.”

The building is located on the University of Toronto’s downtown campus. Spadina Avenue is one of Toronto’s oldest streets, often referred to as the “heart” of Toronto. The building itself was constructed in 1875. The building has been used as a theological college, World War I military hospital, a Veteran’s hospital and a pharmaceutical laboratory. It was purchased by the University of Toronto in 1972.

In 2001, professor David Buller was found murdered in his art studio, located in One Spadina Crescent. Buller died of stab wounds, and his murder remains unsolved to this day.

It’s things like these that make me want to point out please be safe when your searching for ghosts. Also be sure to get the land owners permission and exercise common sense.

Ghost Adventures LIVE
by ghostmap

Ghost Adventures will hold a Seven hour Paranormal Investigation of the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, WV On Oct. 30th 2009. You can watch Zak, Nick and Aaron as they lock themselves in one of America’s most haunted locations ever for the most ambitious LIVE paranormal investigation ever attempted.

nq7bjkk3woq32pctro7y.jpg

Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum (also called Weston State Hospital ) was built during the Civil War, and is the second largest, hand-cut stone building in the US, second only to the Kremlin in the world. For decades its massive walls housed the insane, the neglected and the unwanted. Patient-on-patient violence was common. Inmates were subjected to brutal medical procedures. The asylum was finally shut down for good in 1994 and stands empty today.

Even while operational, there were much reported paranormal activity in the asylum’s two and a half miles of corridors. Visitors were grabbed from behind and dragged into rooms. Mysterious figures darted through walls. Today, those brave enough to venture inside report hearing the incoherent screams of the insane.

Ghost Adventures will have unprecedented access to the entire asylum from the seclusion cells where the most violent patients were shackled to the medical center where hundreds of primitive ice-pick lobotomies were performed. Charles Manson was even once briefly a guest here

As always the team will be padlocked inside the facility, unable to escape as they record their experiences. To aid in their investigation, they will be calling on both paranormal and technical experts.

Viewers at home will have complete access to the investigation on air and online as it occurs. They can monitor webcams throughout the building, chat with the guys during the lockdown, post messages on the bulletin board and send mobile text messages.

You won’t want to miss one minute of this 7-hour LIVE event.

Many unexplained events have been witnessed in this hospital. These events are the things that led individuals to develop the theory that it was a haunted hospital. Now, based on all of the encounters that various guests and employees have experienced, this has been deemed as one of the scariest places on Earth! The following details some of the paranormal events and unexplained phenomenon experienced in the most haunted hospital of Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum:
1. There have been several hundred individuals who passed away in this haunted hospital. Many people who have visited the asylum believe that the majority of the souls of these people have been left behind. Conversations, noises of people moving about, and other sounds have been heard throughout this facility in order to confirm this.

2. Many people have claimed that they have seen full and partial body apparitions within the walls of this particular most haunted hospital.

3. People who have visited this hospital have captured ghost pictures and ghost videos that indicate that there is a strong presence in the facility – possibly numerous presences.

The most haunted place in the hospital is the “Stretcher Room” because it’s inhabited by an insane ghost named Joe. Best of luck guys your going to need it.
