Deep down I bet many of you feel relieved that the worlds biggest terrorist threat has been taken out. In fact when the news came out a few days ago many people flocked to ground zero to pay respects to those who lost their lives on 9/11 and to celebrate the death of an evil man. I don’t know about you but anybody who celebrates death no matter how evil the person was has some serious issues but that’s something we’ll save for a different blog post. Today I want to talk to you about my opinion on what the death of Osama bin Laden means for the trapped spirits who died that fateful day September 11th 2001.

Many people may not be aware of this but the main reason for hauntings and paranormal activity is that a spirit has unfinished work to do or will not accept the fact that they have passed. Now this usually happens with traumatic deaths such as murder and car accidents and I’m sure death by terrorist action fits that bill. In order to end a haunting a few events must occur and I will list them below.

1) The deceased must accept that they have died. This is a tricky one because many times they simply do not realize they have passed.

2) The living must let go. Over time as less and less people visit the site or grave they tend to become accepting death and then they may move on.

3) The person or person who is ultimately responsible for the death must have passed away. This is why I think Osama’s death is important to get them to move on assuming he is the one who is responsible like the US government says. If he is then each “victim” is allowed to confront him and this will allow them to move on by leading to acceptance of death.

I hope that the events of the last few days will lead to a healing and put an end to terror and war so that we can live a peaceful life where we resolve our problems with diplomacy. If not then we probably will see many more “trapped spirits” in the coming years as country leaders and terrorist organizations leadership will be the ones responsible.

Eight years ago the world was rocked by the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Such a sudden evil and terrible act like this one has left an unrepairable scar on both worlds. Souls are still to this day stuck reenacting those final horrific moments of their lives and are doomed to do so for all eternity. Looking back it doesn’t really feel like it’s been eight years but it has and what is sad is the events of 9/11 brought Americans closer than ever but time has pulled us apart again.

I know I normally discuss paranormal events and ghosts on this site but in honor of the 2,998 who lost their lives (4 of which I knew personally) I’m taking a moment of silence just to honor their memories. You should do this as well. Take a few minutes out of your day and spend it with your loved ones who are still here. Call that relative you haven’t spoken to in years, shoot off an ecard to that old H.S. friend because you never know when the end will come but one thing is certain it comes for all of us one day.
