It’s been a long time since the Ghost Adventures Live Halloween show on the Travel Channel in which many people claim that paranormal investigator/expert Robert Bess tossed his electromagnetic field detector and then claimed that a ghost knocked it from his hand. I personally have no idea if that’s what happened or if it was really something paranormal because I was not there. I think it’s deplorable that Mr. Bess wasn’t given the opportunity to defend himself on the follow-up show or any time after that because I for one would have been interested on exactly what he had to say.

I know a challenge was issued by Robert Bess in which the guys of Ghost Adventures would participate in a “Paranormal Showdown” where if Robert Bess  can capture  a ghost on live TV and  produce real indisputable evidence on the spot the Ghost Adventure crew must cancel their upcoming season and tell the world why. You’d think that if  Zak and the guys were so sure in their claims of fraud by Mr. Bess they would jump on the chance to shut him up and all the folks on his side but here we are in 2012 and it’s yet to be resolved.

I’ve personally conveyed Robert Bess’s challenge to the folks at Ghost Adventures and even pulled  some strings to  offer up access to one of their top 3 dream lock down locations if they would just give Mr. Bess one night of their time. Basically I was told they have no interest in ever being put in a situation where they are not in control of what viewers may see ever again. This time he thinking just how much editing goes into the production of the show and how easy it would be to play anyone off in a bad light if they so desired.

In my opinion fans of any paranormal show need to step up to the plate and demand that ghost adventures and the Travel Channel stop playing us off as idiots and actually let us watch just one paranormal show without all the doctored and questionable B.S. that we’re suffering through right now. So what I’m asking you to do is e-mail or write the folks at the Travel Channel and demand that they do this. Also if you really want to send a message I encourage you just stop watching the show until our voices heard.

The more I hear about the drama between Robert Bess and Ghost Adventures the more I think there’s more going on behind the scenes than many people know. I originally was on the Ghost Adventures side in regards to this drama but the more I think of it why not just accept it I mean if he is a fake like the GAC claims what does accepting the challenge hurt?

In case your unfamiliar with the challenge Robert Bess and his group, The Foundation for Paranormal Research issued a challenge to the guys from Ghost Adventures that involves the capture of a ghost and providing evidence of it’s capture on the spot. Bess is even willing to let Ghost Adventures pick the location and bring as much help as they need.

If Bess succeeds then he requests Ghost Adventures cancel next season and tell the public exactly why.

When you look at it one of two things will happen either there will be documented proof of the capture of a real ghost or Mr. Bess will fail and all the drama will go away. I really think the fans and those of us who help the show succeed deserve closure so why not just do it?

If Travel Channel and Ghost Adventures need an incentive to get this over and done with I’m willing to go to bat for them and offer up a historic site that I have been invited to do a reading in and no Paranormal TV show has been able to get access to this location even though many have tried. I think would make for an awesome show regardless of Mr Hess’s outcome. So if your up to prove who’s right then I can guarantee you a site that will give you your highest ratings ever.

At one time called the Weston State Hospital, this West Virginia facility served as a asylum for the mentally ill in the mid-1800’s. The history of the building holds fascinating accounts of Civil War raids, a gold robbery, the “curative” effects of architecture, and the efforts of determined individuals to help better the lives of the insane. But of all the ghosts to frequent the asylum it’s most famous ghost is Lily.

A little girl born into a life of insanity, having been born and left at Weston State Hospital during the Great Depression, Lilly stays on trapped behind the haunted walls of the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. She hums and sings, plays with people’s hair, eats boxes of cracker jacks and walks the halls as a lonely little girl. Ghost Adventures will hold a Seven hour Paranormal Investigation of the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, WV On Oct. 30th 2009. You can watch Zak, Nick and Aaron as they lock themselves in one of America’s most haunted locations ever for the most ambitious LIVE paranormal investigation ever attempted.

Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum (also called Weston State Hospital ) was built during the Civil War, and is the second largest, hand-cut stone building in the US, second only to the Kremlin in the world. For decades its massive walls housed the insane, the neglected and the unwanted. Patient-on-patient violence was common. Inmates were subjected to brutal medical procedures. The asylum was finally shut down for good in 1994 and stands empty today.

Even while operational, there were much reported paranormal activity in the asylum’s two and a half miles of corridors. Visitors were grabbed from behind and dragged into rooms. Mysterious figures darted through walls. Today, those brave enough to venture inside report hearing the incoherent screams of the insane.

Ghost Adventures will have unprecedented access to the entire asylum from the seclusion cells where the most violent patients were shackled to the medical center where hundreds of primitive ice-pick lobotomies were performed. Charles Manson was even once briefly a guest here

As always the team will be padlocked inside the facility, unable to escape as they record their experiences. To aid in their investigation, they will be calling on both paranormal and technical experts.
